Two rustic, pure silver wings, a bit weathered and lightly tarnished (aren't we all a little tarnished at times?) are stamped with the words LIVE and FREE. The pure silver is created with ArtClay, the earth-friendly choice in artisan jewelry. ArtClay's silver particles are reclaimed from recycled film negatives. After firing, the organic binders burn off and the result is 99.9% beautiful pure silver, which is tumble polished for maximum shine and durability.

The 20 inch necklace combines the pure silver wings with a fantastic sneering ceramic skull bead glazed in subtle, smoky shades of mauve, grey and blue. The skull is perfect complemented by two nuggets of Nacozari mine turquoise from Sonora, Mexico and two pyrite (fools' gold) chunks. All other components are exclusively sterling silver including the simple spring ring clasp. The beads and silver hang from a black leather cord that will comfortably fit men or women (see photo of the necklace as worn on a mannequin; if you would like the cord lengthened or shortened, just let me know!
