Definitely wear the unique and one-of-a-kind - the Lorelei mermaid necklace by Lonesome Road Studio.

The blonde German siren Lorelei, once jilted, returned as a Rhine maiden, and used her seductive song to lure sailors to their demise... they say. You can't always believe stories about a girl's reputation though.

My original illustration of the exotic siren of the seas is the focal piece and is affixed to a hand-crafted polymer clay pendant, 5-1/2 inches (14cm) in length. Lorelei's blue mermaid gown is embellished with iridescent stars and a hand-sewn sequined tail; microbeads adorn the bustline.

Lorelei's crowning glory is a sexy tumble of fibers in blonde shades streaked with blue and pink and almost tamed with a glowing aqua bead; she's quite the funky mermaid! And as a reminder of her sailor conquests, she sports a blue anchor tattoo on her upper left arm.

Six 15-inch strands of tiny light blue glass beads make up the necklace and are gathered in hand-crafted aqua-colored cones created in a freeform shell shape and kissed with a subtle golden finish. The "Lorelei" toggle clasp is also Lonesome Road Studio-made of polymer clay with a mermaid tail bar and in the same aqua-gold color and attached with gold-filled components. Crimps are sterling silver. The beads are strung through the back of the pendant piece. Overall, the necklace measures approximately 16 inches.
