The pure silver is created with ArtClay. ArtClay consists of silver particles recycled from old film negatives plus water and pulp fibers, making it an eco-friendly choice in artisan silver jewelry. The silver is first fired, then tumble polished for shine and durability, oxidized to bring out all of the details, then tumbled several more times for even more strength and beauty.

The earrings, from top of earwires to the bottom of the hearts, are 2-1/4 inches long (5.7cm). All other components are exclusively sterling silver.
