The Scorpio necklace's focal piece is a pure silver scorpion with a segmented tail of Mexican Nacozari turquoise, ending in a poison droplet of imperial topaz. The eight legs are created with black and red glass beads, 4mm Nacozari turquoise round beads and Czech glass in colors complementing the topaz. The scorpion hangs by two pure silver pinchers and from the top of the body (not including pinchers) to the end of the tail, it is a dramatic 4.25 inches (10.8cm) in length.

The pure silver scorpion is created in ArtClay. The silver particles in ArtClay are harvested from recycled film negatives, making it an eco-friendly and beautiful choice in handcrafted jewelry. The piece is fired into 99.9% pure silver, tumble polished for shine and durability, and then oxidized to bring out every detail and texture in the design as well as giving the piece an antiqued rustic look.
